The LT15WIDE portable sawmill features the widest in-class cutting capacity for sawing 36″ diameter logs into 35-1/2″ wide boards up to 17′ 8″ in length with optional 6′ 8″ extensions for sawing longer lengths. Built in the USA with premium quality steel and industrial-grade powder coat paint, the wide cut LT15WIDE is engineered from the world’s most popular LT15 sawmill series design and features gas, diesel, or electric sawmill options, a larger sawing capacity, optional saw head power feed, and optional GO trailer for a wide cut portable sawmill with LT15 sawmill versatility.

Widest In-Class Sawing Capacity

Saw softwood and hardwood logs up to 36” in diameter with a 35-1/2” width of cut and a 10-½” depth of cut – wide enough for sawing specialty live edge table tops and slabs that smaller mills can’t handle.

Reliable Power with Gas, Diesel, or Electric

Versatile and reliable power options are available to fit your needs. For portable and outdoor sawing, powerful 25HP gas and 17HP diesel engines with electric start are available for sawing through larger logs. A 10HP electric motor is also available for sawing indoors in a garage or workshop with a single or three-phase connection.

Quick Sawhead Up/Down with Crank Handle

Quickly and accurately move the sawhead up and down to prepare for sawing with the crank handle and lift assist. Easily turn the handle clockwise or counterclockwise with 32 locking locations to adjust the blade depth 2” for each full rotation or 1/16” for each notch to prepare for the next cut. A quarter scale is also included for sawing 8/4”, 6/4”, 5/4”, and 4/4” lumber.

Precision Sawing with Thin-Kerf Sawmill Blades

Engage the sawmill blade with the convenient pull handle that engages the mechanical clutch and automatically throttles the engine at the same time. The LT15WIDE sawmill uses 176” length sawmill blades. We recommend having at least 10 sawmill blades on hand to minimize sawing downtime when sharpening blades. With the ability to saw as precise as 1/16” with the thin-kerf sawmill blade, you get the most usable lumber out of every log.

High-Performance Sawing with Blade Guide Rollers

High-performance blade guide rollers provide extra support and stability for sawmill blades to saw accurately and consistently compared to blade guide blocks. In addition to continuously feeding the blades, the blade guide rollers apply downward pressure on the blade while sawing for better cut quality. Sawmill blades run on belted 19″ diameter cast iron band wheels for additional stability in the cut.

Clean Blades with Gravity-Fed Blade Lubrication

Keep the sawmill blade cool and free of pitch, sap, and sawdust while sawing with the gravity-fed blade lubrication that applies directly to the blade. A water tank conveniently located close to the operator is easy to refill and features an on/off valve for consistently distributing lubrication to the blade.

Extra Durable Sawmill Bed with Box Steel Rails and Cross Sections

The sawmill bed adds extra strength and durability where it counts with box steel bed rails and cross sections featuring wide top surface areas for better weight distribution and easier log handling. Each cross section is welded to the bed rails for added stability. In addition, the entire sawmill bed is painted and constructed of the same premium solid steel throughout the bed to last for years, not seasons.

Support Logs with 6 Quick-Set Side Supports

Six strong steel quick-set side supports are adjustable up/down to stabilize logs on the bed during loading, turning, clamping, and sawing. All six side supports include heavy-duty rollers to assist with turning logs. Each side support is mounted directly on the bed and includes rust-resistant paint for durability. An additional built-in bed side support on each cross section eliminates the need for adjustable side supports while sawing a squared cant and allows for final cuts within 1” of the bed.
